Quick answers to the things Windsor customers ask most. Still stuck? You can reach a human any time — see How do I get help? below, or start a booking from the home page.
What is BulkLift, and how much does it cost?
BulkLift is same-day delivery for bulky items — mattresses, TVs, sofas and appliances — in Windsor, Ontario. You see a guaranteed, upfront price before you pay; there are no surprise fees. Pricing depends on item size and distance, starting at $25 for small items (e.g. a TV), $55 for medium (e.g. a mattress or sofa), and $110 for large/heavy items (e.g. a refrigerator). Optional load assistance adds $30–$40.
Do I need to download an app or create an account?
No. BulkLift runs entirely in your phone’s browser — no app install and no password. You verify your phone number with a one-time code so we can text you tracking updates, and that’s it.
Can I book from a store that isn't listed — or from a private address?
Yes. Choose “Start my delivery”and enter any Windsor pickup and drop-off address — a Facebook Marketplace or Kijiji find, a friend’s place, or a store like Costco, Leon’s, The Brick, Home Depot, or Structube that we haven’t partnered with yet. Partner stores simply let you autofill the pickup by scanning their QR code. For a marketplace buy, confirm the pickup with your seller first — you pay the seller directly for the item, and BulkLift moves it.
What happens if no driver accepts my delivery?
If we can’t match a driver, we cancel the booking and issue a full refund— you are never charged for a delivery that doesn’t happen. Your card is authorized when you book and only charged once a driver accepts and confirms your job; if no driver is found the hold is released. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
How do I know my item arrived with the right person?
At drop-off you share a 4-digit verification code with the driver to confirm the handoff. You can also follow your driver live on the map from pickup to your door, and your driver uploads pickup and delivery photos.
What if my item is damaged?
File a damage claim from your tracking page (or contact support) within 48 hours of delivery. Claims are reviewed against the pickup and delivery photos; approved claims are paid from our protection reserve up to CAD $250 per delivery. Declaring your item’s value accurately at booking is required for any claim.
Can you carry items up several flights of stairs?
Our drivers handle ground-floor and single-flight drop-offs, and you can add load assistancefor heavier items. For safety, multi-flight stair carries aren’t available. If your drop-off involves stairs, add load assistance and leave a note so your driver arrives prepared.
What items can't you move?
For safety we can’t move pianos, safes, large unboxed glass or mirrors, hazardous materials, or anything over ~500 lbs or ~8 ft, and we don’t do multi-flight stair carries. We also can’t transport firearms or ammunition, illegal drugs, cannabis, alcohol, or propane and compressed gas. Items must be in their original store packaging — the booking flow flags anything ineligible before you pay.
Is my payment secure, and can I cancel?
Payments are processed by Stripe(the same processor used by millions of businesses); we never see or store your full card number, and Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported. You can cancel for a full refund before a driver accepts your order; once a driver has accepted, contact support to cancel and we'll help with your options — a fee may apply to compensate the driver for the trip, with any remainder refunded. Details are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
How do I get help with an active delivery?
The fastest way is the “Need help?” button on your tracking page — it opens a text to our support line with your booking number already attached. You can also reach us at support@bulklift.ca. To reconnect with an existing delivery, use “Find my delivery” on the home page and enter your phone number.
